Project Communication
Communication is critical to every offshore project. Realizing that we at AgileMind make every effort to ensure this process goes as smoothly as possible.We make sure every Project Manager and/or Software Engineer has an excellent knowledge of English (or German), and can translate your requirements into powerful, value-driven software. And because Belarus is a European country (a 2 hour flight from Germany), people you work with are of the same cultural background as you, and they understand how you do business.
We clearly realize that offshore project risks related to communication need to be addressed so that
- the customer requirements are communicated and understood right
- important decision-making doesn't get stuck when you least need it to
- the project progress can be efficiently tracked by all the persons involved
- Email Messaging and Phone Calls. We use phone conferences to discuss issues that are too lengthy or complicated to be put into an email.
- Instant Messaging (IM). Some operative issues are best discussed by means of instant messaging. MSN, ICQ, Jabber etc. IM protocols are available.
- Personal Meetings. Can be necessary for several reasons: e.g. sometimes the business specifics for a project can only be effectively studied from first-hand experience, so we need to visit the customer at his or her place.
- Parts of project communication can also be done online with CVS Access, frequent Project Status Updates and web-based Bug Tracking.
